Just got home from a week long family vacation in New England. Didn't get to see the last 6 games but followed along on Gameday and the Game Threads.

Man, people have to stop thinking the sky is falling every time a player has a bad inning. This team is:

5th in MLB/1st in AL in ERA, 2nd in MLB/1st in AL in starter ERA, 10th in MLB/5th in AL in reliever ERA

7th in MLB/3rd in AL in WHIP, 7th in MLB/3rd in AL in HR allowed, 2nd in MLB/1st in AL in K/9, 1st in MLB in K/BB

5th in MLB in OPS, 2nd in MLB in OBP

2nd best record in MLB by only 1/2 game, largest run differential and largest division lead.

Enjoy this team. Yes, they do frustrating and/or stupid stuff often but what you apparently don't realize is that other team's players do frustrating and stupid stuff more often.

Oh, and congratulations to ron on being my first ever ignore.

Tony is resting regular starting players on certain days and he is calling on bench players  to do the job on those days. They have been responding and we are winning.

Meanwhile AJ Hinch's Tigers look unmotivated, defeated and are playing  sloppy defense at their own stadium. They made three blunders on defense in the first inning and the starter was left out there until the Sox pummeled him into the ground.

The Tigers looked clueless and defeated and it's only mid-June. Let's sweep them tomorrow.

Also, remember there's a non-zero chance that Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert are back before the end of the season.

SS Anderson

CF Robert

3B Moncada

1B Abreu

LF Jimenez

C Grandal

RF Vaughn

DH Mercedes

2B Mendick (Madrigal if he's bionic)

Could still happen this year.

Suck it Twins!!!

Is this phrase © @ChiliIrishHammock24? I forgot who always used to say this after a Sox win against the Twinkie's and want to begin giving credit for such a brilliant stroke of genius.

I hope they enjoy the remainder of that Donaldson contract....it would be a shame if it hindered them signing other free agents, etc.

From Fegan's recap:

“I was in another situation and I got out of that, fortunately, wasn’t too happy with how that went,” said Goodwin, who was released by the Pirates in May without seeing any major-league action. “But it helped me to keep that chip on my shoulder. Signed over here in May and I’m still a little pissed off. I’m going to take it out on everybody else that I play against.”

alright, I see you Goodwin, keep hitting, we need it.

The White Sox seem to always play better with a chip on their shoulder...welcome Brian, welcome.

I like to think it's TA7 leading that charge with his "I'm the best in the league and I'm going to prove it attitude". Not cocky, just confident. Billy Hamilton has mentioned multiple times how TA's attitude has rubbed off on him and look at how Billy has been playing this year.

End of the day, these guys all have pro talent. If we can tap into some of that unrealized talent and get the most out of these guys, all the better for it.

Let’s have TA7 coach the bullpen...and just stay away from Hendrik’s Red Bull stash.

@Kyyle23 I know you're probably getting rolled at the Ho Chunk Casino right now, but can you slap a ban hammer on this clown when you return? He stands for everything Soxtalk stands against. Also, he said you're a dork, and that @Steve9347 would be a better mod than you. Total embarrassment to the Soxtalk community. Sorry to bug you on your vacation, but this is a forum emergency. Thank you.

Tim leading our new edgy Southside color crew to victory. Another weapon in the Sox arsenal.

Not a fan of Eloy and Vaughn in the same OF. There is plenty of offense in the lineup, get Engel in there in RF.
