Last time Glasnow pitched against us i was completely demoralized. Lets hope Lynn is Lynn and dominates yet another lineup.

Our offense isn't built to hit tough aces. We have to let our SP's hold them to two and take our chances. This is okay because when we get healthy for the playoffs things will be different. For now we need our pitching to continue being elite and just grind it out at the plate.

Lineup I would like to see/expect (probably see a lot of lefties tonight):

1. Anderson SS

2. Grandal C (see as many pitches early as possible)

3. Moncada 3B

4. Abreu 1B

5. Lamb DH

6. Eaton RF (not that I really WANT him in the lineup but more expect)

7. Engel CF (defensive purposes/breakup the lefties)

8. Goodwin LF

9. Mendick 2B (will probably be Leury though)

Glasnow added an effective slider. Gonna give the righties major fits.

Quote

Glasnow uses his two breaking pitches a little differently. He throws his sliders in the strike zone 59% of the time, while his curveball is out of it 56% of the time, making it his chase pitch. Throwing his curveball less often has made it more effective, allowing just a .086 batting average against and generating a 69.1 K% this year.

This is game 1 of the ALCS matchup here (without 3 of our best hitters), so let's see how they battle and it would be great if they can get 3 across against this floppy haired marvel.

The White Sox own a .539 winning percentage against the Tampa Bay Rays (89-76), second best among AL opponents to Texas (.545).

Tampa is the only American League opponent team the White Sox have a winning road record (43-41).

One area the Sox will hopefully rectify this season is their postseason record against Tampa (1-3 .250, tied with Baltimore), and possibly Oakland, Toronto and Los Angeles.

  • 1-3 Tampa Bay 2008
  • 1-3 Baltimore 1983
  • 1-2 Oakland 2020
  • 2-4 Los Angeles Dodgers 1959
  • 2-4 Toronto 1993
  • 3-5 Cincinnati 1919 (Lost on purpose)

You forgot:

  • 4-2 Giants 1917
  • 4-2 Cubs 1906 (sorry)

Also, Tampa was 2008.  2000 was Seattle: 0-3

Didn’t forget anything, including your endless cubsession and obsession regarding my posts.

There is nothing to rectify with the teams in your weak ass post.

Wow -- didn't expect that reaction, relax tiger.  We did in fact play Tampa in 2008, not 2000 - feel free to look it up.  If there's anything else from my post that's incorrect I'd love to hear it.

What’s with the “sorry” after the Cubs record in your post?

Giving you a hard time since you freak out every time somebody bashes the Cubs.  (^^^case in point)

Again, your obsession re my posts (^^^ case in point).

The two times I addressed the Cubs here was last September, when I stated I wanted the Cubs to beat Cleveland, our actual division rival, to help the Sox win the Division; and then recently when I stated there are more important Sox rivals than the Cubs.

I don’t give a rats ass whether you or anyone else bash the Cubs.
