Meanwhile, the Sox have Eaton, Goodwin, Vaughn, Engel, Hamilton and Sheets as OFers. I'd prefer Goodwin or Eaton gone tbh. They don’t play Lamb at third, even when Yoan was out. They tried him twice at 3rd and once at 1B early on. The past several weeks he has played exclusively at corner OF or DH/PH.

He was unplayable at 1B though. Edited July 6, 2021 by chw42

I’m just stating what Tony is doing with him, don’t know enough based on two games whether he can still play an acceptable 3B or not. Lamb looked god awful the few innings that game he played at first, would go with Yermin over him for defense. Lamb played 3B twice, 4/7 and 4/19, and that’s it besides a few innings late in a 15-2 game after Tony pulled Tim and Jose for rest.

When we are missing 3 power players in Robert/Eloy/Grandal it would seem that finding ways to play Sheets and Burger would make sense.

Blood in areas where it's not supposed to be is an irritant. That's not surprising.

Bob Sacamano
Looks like righties on the mound Friday and Saturday for Baltimore (no one listed for Sunday). At this point, activate him after the All-Star break and let him heal up.

chw42
I'm surprised they actually DFA'd Eaton. He's still owed $3+ million.
