Doesn’t mean anything. They will be aggressive in adding a couple pieces before or at the deadline.

Then why haven’t they done it already when it was clear for weeks that they should have made an aggressive move?

Because other teams aren't interested in the Sox' minor league trash.

And I'm not sure that Sheets and Burger have that much value around baseball.

Then they’re not being aggressive.

They'd have to trade Vaughn, Madrigal or Crochet to get a deal done imo.

Nobody else has enough value and this season isn't worth trading one of those guys.

This game turned on Goodwinnot making the play on Gordon’s triple and Moncada being thrown out at the plate with no outs.  We have no margin of error with the team we are putting on the field now.

What did Goodwin do on Gordons triple? I didn't see anything. The ball was just hit over his head.

Because it’s not the trade deadline yet. Relax! They are still 6 games up on the Indians. Teams go through stretches like this. It’s baseball.

The Indians are playing like crap right now too.

White Sox +17

Indians +6   (34-28)    Sunday, June 13

High point for CLE, 40-30/41-31  (2 games back)

Indians have how lost 7 in a row and 9 of their last 10.

White Sox went 6-7 after being 18 games over .500, but have now lost three in a row again.

Tonight=White Sox +14, Indians +2.

Essentially, we have gained 1/2 game in the standings despite a 6-10 mark during that time.  Both Sox and Indians swept by the Astros in four game sets.

My level of concern is sort of high but I still believe we prbly win the AL Central. Who knows maybe we win big tomorrow. Its baseball.

That's assuming there's even a game. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow. We really need Carlos to be a stopper for us. Our starters have been god awful the past 3 days.

Yea who wants a power hitting lefty or a power hitting 3rd baseman who both have all their eligibility ?

Eaton made a great play yesterday at the wall. Haven’t seen Goodwin make that kind of a play.

Eaton can play out there, the problem is that he will probably pull something playing CF.  He can handle it out there, but he'll be hurt again in a week.

We are finally seeing what happens when the pitching slumps.  The pen has been shaky a lot this year, but the starters are coming back to earth now too.  Going to really see what this team is made of in the second half.

Any trades should prioritize improving the bullpen imo.

Like I said 10 days or so ago, this was the stretch that was going to beat the ever loving pulp out of Cleveland. The White Sox should be gaining every game they can right now, because Cleveland is facing Houston and Tampa. The White Sox get Houston and Milwaukee in a short burst after the AS, then a tough august while Cleveland has a weaker schedule against the AL central.

We can’t count on the Indians going 1-9 every ten games…they better have Jimenez and Robert back for that really tough stretch in August.

Right now, the Tigers are playing like the best team in the division.  Hinch turned out to be a good choice for another rebuilding team with a boatload of young talent.
