I hope the Sox win the World Series for many reasons.

Among them...

(1) Reinsdorf hopefully goes away especially if he can't get buy-in on a 2022 work stoppage like he did in 1994 and almost destroyed MLB.

(2) TLR has his Cooperstown plaque updated and goes away.

(3) Some owner is dumb enough to make Hahn President or EVP of baseball operations and he goes away.

(This one is least likely since Hahn's legacy is already cemented with FTJR for Shields.)

Not sure what you've been watching. I watched The Field Of Dreams, the Sox acquire a HOF reliever, the one you have been non stop batching about even though he has a higher fWAR than Mr. fWAR himself, despite the fact "relievers have minimal impact."

I've also watched the Sox nearly double their lead in the division from six to ten games since Grandal left us once again, with Seby Zavala emerging to take the reins of the staff and lead them to a 16-9 .640 record in his starts. Sadly, Seby has suffered the wrath of Crony LR last night, and may never be seen again.

You know what I haven't seen the past six weeks? Grandal playing a single game for the White Sox. I heard a lot of bragging about Grandal having the fastest recovery in the history of mankind, 2-3 weeks, as though a televangelist touched his leg and he was miraculously healed and ready to dance. Yet seven weeks later, despite all of the hype, the recovery has turned out to be as slow as Grandal.

Godspeed Yasmani, Godspeed.

This post is amazing.

There is literally not a single thing Seby Zavala does on a baseball field that is even 50% as good as Yasmani Grandal.

Grandal has been by far the biggest loss the team has had this year. Replacing him has been a train wreck.

You are just trolling at this point, after coming across your other post, you have no interest in a baseball discussion. Ignored.

The White Sox were 4th in baseball in runs when Grandal went down. They're now 10th in runs in the past 30 days and you somehow cite that to glorify his absence. You can't make this shit up.

Edit: Oh, and in the last thirty days they have gotten Eloy and Robert back; they were 4th in runs without those guys, because the lineup was patient (led by Yaz) and worked pitchers and counts.

You do realize you are comparing an $18M player against a minimum salary player. Zavala did better than expected, and the team won at a .640 clip. Not saying he is a great everyday option, just that there wasn't a drop off in Sox wins/losses when he started. Collins was a disaster for the team record, which is why Tony pulled him as the primary backup.

Tim Anderson is the biggest loss when out of the lineup. Luis Robert and Yoan Moncada are the next biggest loses, which is why Yoan sucked it up and played hurt in July (Tony won't put Lamb there, Garcia was already covering in the OF). The team relies on these three and Jose for 145-150 games.

Grandal is not an everyday player, that is the point. He will be out of the catcher spot at least 50-60 games if healthy, a lot more like this year when he is injured. Grandal primarily sat when healthy and Lucas and Rodon pitched until he was injured. Last season he sat for Lucas and younger rookie pitchers, since McCann is a better game planner/caller/manager. It's why the split ended up Grandal 32, McCann 27.

I am the one trolling?  My lord.  Good riddance.

Lol that may be your point now that you've been continuously roasted on your Grandal takes, but your overarching point on Grandal all season has been that he isn't good and hasn't been a loss since he went down.  Which is just purely comical to anyone with eyes and a brain, yet I am the one trolling?  Part-time player - GMAFB.  He's been as sturdy as any catcher in the game prior to dealing with knee issues in 2021.

No catcher is an everyday player. Before this year started, no catcher played more games than Grandal between 2018-2020. So I guess no catcher is good or an everyday player.

And no, I'm laughing at you comparing Grandal and Zavala at any level; using W/L record for an individual player in baseball is about as pointless as it gets. Grandal has been the toughest guy to replace on the roster.

Anderson hasn't been hurt for an extended period of time, and outside of you making up a Moncada injury he also has not been hurt or out of the lineup for an extended period of time. Among Robert, Eloy and Madrigal, Grandal has been the hardest person for this team to replace and it has impacted them both defensively and offensively. Your obsession with trying to convince the world that Grandal is bad is odd, and even more odd given what we've had to watch at the position the last 6 weeks.

Oh, and McCann is awful. He was benched in NY because he was poor defensively and offensively. You still stanning for him over Grandal is another joke.

McCann also has a bad back.

Have you watched the offense the past week?  The situational hitting?  The RISP numbers and the LOB?  Hate to break it to you...
