Yes, that is the solution for the short term.  That plan will not cut it however for the next two months.  We need serviceable upgrades at 2nd, outfield, catcher, and relief pitcher.

Engel comes back tomorrow

Eloy hopefully beginning of August

Luis mid August

Yaz mid August

If we can win this series and next v Orioles we may be 8 games up. Then we can start to long at long term

TLR has been pretty consistent with the handling of rookies. He’s going to do what he thinks is best for their development and transition into mlb rather than the immediate game need. We’ve still got a five game lead and almost 80 games to go. No reason to panic and abandon whatever the plan for the rookies is just yet when there is reinforcements of one form or another on the way

Six.  Largely because Cleveland has lost 7 in a row and 9 out of their past 10.

White Sox on a 6-10 run.

I know everyone is hurt, but what a lineup.

I know I'm "looking in the margins," but why is Mendick @ SS, while Leury is @ 2nd?

I thought that Mendick didn't have the arm for SS? Unless Leurys shoulder is preventing him from throwing well?

I would have been on the same wavelengths until last night.  We need to plug some of these holes with outside-the-organization people IMO.

White Sox don’t work on approach or pitch recognition with prospects

not reality. But reputations are hard to kill

just another reason the majority of scouts shouldn't be taken seriously if they make their evaluations on perception over reality.

What’s that? From now to year’s end? Some of those guys have already exceeded those numbers.
