The draft order doesn't change. It goes by regular season record.

I thought I remembered that the champs picked last, but if that is the case even better.

I didn't include Kumar Rocker because we still have no idea what his plans are but if he does end up back in the draft I would put him somewhere in the middle. #15 to the Padres feels about right. Ryan Ritter is a "gut feel" pick.

I do.  I think he was served a big ole hunk of humble pie and will make the necessary changes to his approach.

Yes,

That's pretty fun. My brother is near there, with a normal schedule I can try and check that kid out.

Ritter is already a plus defender as you will see in the video.  He has it all defensively.  Feet, hands, arm and instincts are all plus. His draft position will all depend on his bat.  If he hits and I think he will he'll be a no doubt first rounder. He's big, strong and super athletic w/plus power potential. He showed flashes last year but he needs to be more consistent with it this year. If he hits he's a DUDE.

I hope one of the college catchers falls to the Sox or a good college arm but I expect them to go lean prep again and they should because teenagers, especially those that play up the middle, are the most valuable commodity in baseball. That being said a guy that I'm going to follow is Justin Crawford, Carl's son. He'll be a nice add to the new wave of Sox prospects headlined by Montgomery and Kath. He can play center, can hit with a pretty swing and is an athlete, the Sox desperately need more of those.

Does MLB hold the 2022 draft if they are still in the work stoppage?

Yes and hopefully they move the date up along with some anti-tanking measures in the new CBA. My guess is there is so much other shit to negotiate they just kick the draft can down the street but a guy can dream.

Playing LF in high school makes me a little nervous.  But I know nothing about him so I'll take him! Lol

PG is on Ritter.  That surprises me.

I’m surprised at how highly Druw Jones is ranked.  Every at bat I see from him against good pitching, he pounds the ball into the ground.  For those that are bored, the Phillies Scout Team youtube channel was fun to watch over the Summer and Fall.

Jones is all projection, athleticism and bloodlines. He has one of the highest ceilings in the draft a team just has to bet on the athlete to figure it out at the plate. He does show feel to hit and he has a good understanding of what he's trying to do. I would be very surprised if he wasn't a top 5 pick.
