Idk if he’s going to get enough innings.

Kopech/Crochet might just be relievers.

The way Kopech was used in the first half indicates he is being stretched out. But I think the Sox are lying through their teeth when they claim Crochet will be a SP.

For their careers?  Way too early to assess that.

Just curious, does anyone know why we didn’t pitch Rodon tonight.  He did not pitch in the all star game, and he is, along with Lynn, our best and toughest pitcher.  A win tonight would have give us momentum going forward in the series.

Stoney was saying he didn’t pitch, but he was there, and that has some measurable fatigue factor to it that he can take some extra time.

With Rodon and Lynn going to the ASG, they probably wanted to be conservative in the event he did pitch.

With pitchers doing their pre-start throwing work mid-week, Tony / Katz likely set the schedule before the ASG, with Rodon OK to start even if he pitched Tuesday, and intentionally skipping Lynn against Houston.

Would have pitched Rodon tonight to have a better chance before the big crowd.

I'm sure he will have a big crowd for the Family Sunday game.  Screw these asshat astros....take the next 2 and win the damn series.

Sox FO only care about winning the division, probably couldn't care less about individual matchups.  No matter how bad the team looks nationally.  Sox playing in such a horrible division isn't gonna prepare them for the more competitive teams they'll see in the playoffs

also the offense should've been addressed via trade a month ago, but again, they're not gonna do shit with a 7+ game lead

sucks as fans but meh
