ron883
I called it. We're gonna see Eloy-Robert-Vaughn OF in the playoffs.
tray
The narrative about Eloy's injury has been exaggerated and promoted incessantly. His injury reaching over a fence was a freak, one-time accident in an unusual circumstance. So was his injury celebrating after a victory or one running the bases. You can add up the injuries that Grandal or other players have had and make a similar list. Anyway, he will play some games in Left Field so i guess some will be disappointed while others will wait until Eloy twists and ankle or bruises his knee and is out for a week so that they can say "I told you so." Me, I am glad he is back and can't wait to see him playing next to his friend and fellow countryman, Luis Robert. The two have a friendship and chemistry out there that is entertaining to watch. Bob Sacamano
Yeah I think if you're gonna go with all that offensive power in the corners and DH, might as well play Engel (hit him like 7th) or even Hamilton and hit him 9th.

If I didn’t know any better, Id say Tony is doing this outfield on purpose to show everyone how bad it can get if we were to try it in meaningful games ? I told you when he was hired Tony doesn’t GAF about OF defense, at least to start a game. He actually had Ron Kittle in CF once.

ShoeLessRob
Vaughn doesn’t have big enough shoe size for RF.

Small point... Eloy and Luis Robert are not countrymen. Eloy is Dominican, and Robert is Cuban. 1

ChiSox59
We knew we were going to see Eloy and Vaughn in the corners some. I am OK with it on occasion. Its going to be necessary at times - just hope it doesn't become an everyday thing.

South Side Hit Men
Since the All Star Break: Brian Goodwin: .200 / ,250 / ,200 (.450 OPS) Billy Hamilton: .214 / .214 / .286 (.500 OPS) Adam Engel: .217 / .333 / .261 (.594 OPS) It's why Luis Robert was ranked the 7th most irreplaceable player in MLB by Fan Graphs.
