We should be rooting for minimal returns. Why would we want rentals going for huge prices?

Minimal return = buyer's market

because Marte would be a perfect fit for us.

I have no desire of having a collection of two 4th outfielders, two natural 1B and a designated pinch runner as our RF options

So to keep score of the AL teams at the moment:

  • HOU: Kendall Graveman
  • OAK: Starling Marte
  • BOS:
  • TBR: Nelson Cruz
  • CHI:

Only three moves so far, but all of them fairly impactful and plenty time for these guys to do much more.  The idea we don’t need another bat is nonsensical IMO.

I really think Graveman is a mirage.

What happened to Luzardo? He was once super highly touted yea?

He was atrocious this year, no idea if he looks like he has anything left, but the results were awful this year and just pretty meh last year.

Lazardo going to Miami, dang

No idea how to value Luzardo at the moment.  Dude was a 60 FV prospect and still has plus velocity for a lefty, but has also been garbage this year.  Still four years of control with the upside he possesses is probably a smart gamble.
