South Side Hit Men Posted August 1, 2021 Share Posted August 1, 2021 I'm fine letting the rookie (Kopech) try to work out of it, but I've said it a few times, I would like the Sox to put in their relievers with a clean situation at the start of the inning, where they don't have to worry about baserunners, especially when your starters are already gassed. Kopech almost hit 40 pitches, if his "relief role" turns into a consistent 2-3 IP role by the Playoffs, it will benefit the team and Kopech, short term and long term.
