This feels like 2006.

Except that team was dying in the second half after starting out 26 games over .500 at the ASB and clearly getting passed by DET and MINN behind the likes of Verlander, Santana and Liriano.

Jenks started to fall apart, and the workload on the pitchers from the previous year started to hit the rotation.

But yeah, the offense feels similar...kind of dead in the water.

Outfield defense is very familiar

Adam is the villain today even though that would have been an amazing catch lol

Yeah I don't expect him to make that play, but when he fucked up as badly as he did in the first, he needs to make up for it.

If Hahn and KW seriously prioritized Kimbrel above every other guy who could realistically be moved the deadline....

yikes

We've literally used him twice so far. Meanwhile our offense has been junk. I have no issues with getting Kimbrel, but thinking we are ok in RF and Cesar Hernandez is enough for this lineup is such an oversight.

Two catches that Engel barely missed and then the bad misplay earlier in the game.

Olivares yet another former Padres farmhand.

And Lopez is back to his former self again.

Man you got such a hard on for anything  Padres..
