I don't really know what to make of Vaughn's RISP struggles. I can't find the splits with 2 outs and RISP, but with RISP overall, his strikeout rate is better than in non RISP situations and his pull rate is down significantly as well. It's obvious just from watching he seems to look uncomfortable in these situations, but nothing in the numbers really jumps out that he's doing wrong.

Nobody on: .273 AVG, 10.6% BB, 20.6%K

Runner on 1st only: .313 AVG, 7.7% BB, 24.2%K

RISP: .195 AVG, 6.9% BB, 20.8% K

So no, he doesn't K more, but he walks less and hits far worse.

Crochet is pitching well enough to say the bullpen has 6 guys that can close a game for them.  Offense needs to gain consistency.

That said he has to put Phillips away there.

That was his 8th batter. He doesn't go that far very often.

How many times have we seen the Sox win game 1 of a series and then drop the next 2 post ASB?

so, so frustrating

It doesn't help we're basically throwing games with the lineups we put out there sometimes in the rubber match. This is pre-TA being banged up too.
