The Beast
Good to see Sean McVay win a Super Bowl, hopefully he is able to retire when he wants to. Happy for Matt Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Andrew Whitworth. Joe Burrow will be back to the big stage and get a Super Bowl win in his career. fathom
Something seemed off about the whole experience tonight. Both teams played bad and holy shit was Collinsworth bad in the 4th quarter.

At the least the halftime show lived up to expectations.

Also, I didn't like the new score bug.

BUT agreed for a game that close it wasn't particularly exciting. Joe Burrow will be back though no doubt. And I hope the Bengals use damn near every pick they have on O-Line help.

bmags
Rams are a weird team. Since that Mexico City game it has felt like they are underachieving even though they have now won a super bowl and have won a lot. They are filled with stars but have played extremely boring, unimpressive games where they sometimes still win.

I do like a lot that the precedent of “we have a good team, let’s load up everywhere we can and figure the rest out once we have a trophy” actually worked. Give Stafford credit for leading his team down the field in the last minutes. But for a great deal of the second half, the Rams looked like the Bears offense and the Bengals weren't much better. I really don't think this will go down as a memorable Super Bowl despite some dramatics. Yes, something was off.

That it was a close game was itself very nice. Super bowls don't typically have drama. I mean we had like a 10 year run in the 90s of blowouts seemingly every year. This was at least 100x better than the Rams last super bowl, and better than the Broncos/Panthers super bowl.

The only way to make it work is to level everything and start over (which I'd be fine with). Maybe you could keep the Western columns and work that into the new design. I agree, there’s no way to do it unless they level everything. If you look at the map of Arlington Heights, the area is a prime spot to build a modern NFL stadium. You have 326 acres of land to build the stadium on and develop the remaining area for entertainment, you have the Metra stop and access to highways which makes it easy for fans to travel to, Woodfield Mall and Rosemont that can be used as entertainment areas for major sporting events and Ohare airport which is only like a 20 minute drive to Arlington Heights which will make it easy for travelers. I honestly don’t know what kind of attractive offer will make the Bears stay in downtown Chicago. Especially if they want to generate more revenue from the usage of the stadium. Yes, the city may have 10,000 vacant lots available but are they suitable enough to build a stadium on and are they in an attractive location? Mf like 36 years old He has talked about "retiring" and moving into the studio booth as he is getting married this summer. I was surprised too, but when Romo is getting $20 million a year to do a much easier job, and same with college coaches making bank in much more secure standing, I think it is going to cause a bit of a shake-up since being an NFL coach is pretty rough. That's why the guffawing at Harbaugh asking for $100M was silly to me, that's going to be par for the course soon. Heck, good college coordinators are often making millions compared to NFL guys in that 750k-1M range.
