Ozzie fried himself. When you shit on the hand that feeds you, repeatedly, no one else will trust you.

He's a young LaRussa in his stubbornness.

Oh, no doubt, though his “quitting” here was brought on by Kenny’s equal level of immaturity and hubris, undermining Ozzie by extending Cooper without Ozzie’s approval or knowledge until he learned about it with two games to go, going against his own agreement with Ozzie to evaluate Ozzie and Ozzie’s staff after the season.

Should have been the better man and rode it out with gritted teeth, but Ozzie is going to Ozzie, it’s the typical disfunction that has become the hallmark of a Reinsdorf organization, that carries on through the Tony hire and beyond.

The Castro comments, in Miami of all places, was beyond stupid. He also wasn’t a very good manager, with his teams consistently being outperformed as the season went on. He did have a magic season, where everything came together, and for that I am grateful.

Definitely don’t want him back. Don’t want the current one either. There were/are dozens of far better options in 2021 and beyond.

May I interest you in the bulls since '98?

Michael Reinsdorf did a great job in a short window cleaning up a huge multi-decade mess. When Jerry and Rocky step down, both organizations can also benefit from a fresh new perspective and clean slate.

Bears fans are permanently cursed unless estate taxes force the family to sell.

Don't recall a single post of yours which wasn't a lame troll attempt or a racist dog whistle. Ignored.

Couldn’t catch the game but seeing highlights. The HR Lopez gave up was outside the strike zone, not a bad pitch.

I certainly did not watch every pitch, but Lopez threw some meatballs that inning.  Third inning.  Then he got through the 4th, don't know why he was taken out.

Cause his velocity was down by quite a bit and he was giving up line drives right at people. He was probably on a pitch count too given he hasn't thrown more than 80 pitches in any outing this year in the Majors.
