The Rays literally take guys who throw only sliders and make them useful. Lopez would definitely be good with them.

He's been very good with the Sox! But if he has to stay in the rotation for an extended period of time, would Tony be willing to cap him at 3-4 innings or would he require more length? 3-4 innings is the role Keuchel should be in at this point but we see how Tony handles him.

Speaking of the Padres I hope the Cards sweep em. Off to a good start rn winning 4-0 in the 7th

they keep picking up crappy starters off the wire and starting them in important games.  Preller really should be fired if they miss the playoffs.

You just know the Cardinals will somehow win the WC game if they get in. It's some devil magic bullshit.

The Philadelphia Hernandez would be a big plus. Just looking at his career numbers, it looks like he has hit an age 30 wall. In his case the 60's trope 'don't trust anyone over 30' looks like a prophecy. He's still handling the field though.

Imagine fighting for your playoff life and you're starting, *looks at probables*: Velasquez, Darvish, and Arrieta.

You'd think Darvish is good, but he's been worse than Arrieta since the sticky ban.

What can they really do? Tell him to stop throwing sliders?

If you keep hitting batters during a single game, you'd get suspended. It's odd he's able to skate around the rules because he doesn't pitch long enough for them to pile up in 1 outing.

Imagine if a starter was hitting a batter every other inning. Of course they'd be suspended if they couldn't get that under control.

I saw some people joking how it's crazy that Wright got tossed yesterday for not being able to locate pitches, but Adams gets to hit multiple guys a game without any penalty.
