The Sox should look at every starting position player on their roster and ask would this guy start for the Astros, Rays, Doders, Giants. etc. Engel and Leury are resounding no's. Same (obliviously) goes for Cesar and he was their plan A plan at 2B for this year and next, which obliviously isn't good enough.

Same with Sheets

I'd love it if Eloy was left handed. He doesn't even have to be as good as Alvarez.

Eloy is a bad first week of April from his career wRC+ dropping below Madrigal's. Maybe he'll get there, but expecting Eloy to be a great hitter does require some wish casting, at this point

The White Sox will hit Framber. He isn't the perfect match-up against the Sox as McCullers is.

He's fine. He's not intimidating or dominant.

Framber gets grounders 70% of the time. We love hitting grounders. Feels like a strength vs. strength matchup. It just depends on how may grounders find gloves with men on base.

HFA was a must.  We overdid the resting, particularly if we don’t get by the Astros.

What would HFA had done vs McCullers?

You could play this game on the moon, we aren't hitting him.

Series would be 0-1 anywhere we'd play it.

They need to go out and fill those holes that the board has been talking about and for free agents that are really good and with playoff experience. I’m talking Kris Bryant level. Now will they do that is the question? That remains to be seen.

it's less about the talent and more about the coaching and training staff imo, they've hired a bunch of overpaid interns to run this team apparently.  night and day compared to the cre of the AL

The umpire’s zone sucks, but he’s not the one walking guys, giving up home runs, walking the first batter and allowing them to score or really just pitching like shit. Offensively they need to wake the fuck up too. If they play corpseball this entire series then the .500 record since the break will be telling.
