After he had a year to watch the same mistakes we've witnessed year after year let's see what happens in spring training this year. To say that's it's Tony's fault because our outfield was basically a bunch of retreads after the injuries to Robert and Engel is not fair. To say he's responsible for all the mistakes made in the field in my opinion has to do more with the players who were signed by the GM than his managerial ability. Your opening comment is off the chart ridiculous. You mean to tell me that a hall of fame manager can’t find a way to address these things at the same time? And if your answer is somehow no, exactly whose fault is it that so much time was needed to gain the respect of the players?
South Side Hit Men
A “HOF” manager should be able to chew gum and walk at the same time. If not, than don’t give fans a spiel that he was brought in to “win now”, or that the Sox have any intention of competing for “multi-chanpionships”, when they have advanced in the playoffs a single year in the 40 plus year Reinsdorf Carrot Era. Also, provide evidence that La Russa had a sense of urgency at any time during the season, beyond unwritten rules bullshit or beanball wars inside Tony’s head. He needs to focus on rest, permanently, and return back to his wine cave.

Now that is a special one.
