Pilkington will end up being a starting pitcher in a rotation. What a god awful, shit trade. The trade deadline was one of Hahn's worst showings.

Our PD has had more success, however watching Cleveland really figure out taking these control pitchers in rounds 3-6 and finding velo, stuff for them it’s hard not to be jealous of that. And Konnor fits that mold, he already had a velo jump last year (from Sox biometrics team), so if he brings more in CLE it would be a bummer.

I vote yes!

So would anyone with half a brain… oops Mr. Hahn, Mr. Williams, Mr. LaRussa, and Mr. Whoever Else Advisor Man.

Unless you’re a Cubs exec or Harold or another Soxtalk Madrigal detractor… then it’s understandably a hard no.

Who is going to play 2B when Madrigal inevitably goes down for another half season as is his MO?

Sox already have to have a fill in for the inevitable Eloy injury, though hopefully not in March this year.

This.  Hernandez was coming off a gold glove and career power numbers.  No one could have predicted a huge flop going to a better team...

Sadly I have no doubt at all that he will bounceback.

It will be interesting to see. One thing pointed out in the thread where we acquired him was that all his peripherals were worse in 2021 except his HR rate was  through the roof. So, you could make a case that he looked like a guy at risk of decline in the near future, possibly immediately if the HR rate dropped. That makes it harder to say his time with the White Sox was bad luck.

My biggest issue with Cesar, and I had alot of em', was his apparent lack of interest.  Dude seemed completely unconcerned with his terrible play, both in the field and swinging that pool noodle at the dish.  So damn frustrating to watch.
