knightni
Young OF/P from the minors of Japan, by way of Cuba, Two-way threat, that has All-Star potential. Sox will probably keep him as a hitter.

knightni
Was moved up this year. He's now in Charlotte. He's been hitting for good average at every level this year, just hasn't christened AAA with a HR yet. .309 with .877 OPS and 21 HR over three levels. Could stand to walk more and K less, but that seems to be a common theme with young Latin-Caribbean ballplayers. Expect to see him prominently in the mix for the RF job in the Spring. While it was impressive AAA has been a challenge for him and power has vanished. Before spring training of 2023 they had him in Miami with recently fire hitting instructor Mike Tosar along with Luis Robert . Basically since then hes had problem sticking with the Sox due to lack of defensive and base running fundamentals and failure to improve his strike zone and pitch recognition. He got very little playing time with the Sox in 2024 appearing in 13 games and hitting .273 (9 for 33 ,all singles ) and .1 bWAR. He turns 26 in mid September and Sox haven't seemed interested in calling him up despite Grady Sizemore being a former star , nearly superstar, level OFer for 4 straight seasons before he was ravaged by injuries.
