God forbid one of Giolito/Lynn/Cease gets hurt long-term and that's all it takes.

I’m not gonna give you any more of the attention you crave.  You are freaking out over things that haven’t happened yet.  Again.  Take a damn breath and relax.

Daily reminder that Hahn’s first call post lockout ending warranted an obnoxious, baiting smirk.  And I’m very confident it wasn’t for Kelly or Harrison.  Panic if you must, but dealing with Boras takes time.

He probably called NCAA to encourage them to put Michigan in the tourney

I’m sure you and I and many others will freak out if they don’t do anything else...but that’s very unlikely and a waste of getting mad about right now.

It doesn’t if they would just meet Conforto’s demands. Rodon is a Boras client and he signed quick because the Giants made a fair offer.

Pitchers sign pretty quickly if there are fewer of them on the market. You can never have enough pitching. Position players take longer especially if there are a lot of them on the market and also if something is holding up the market like Freeman waiting to see if the Braves throw in an extra year. Lol

Rodon was the main pitcher on the market.  There are way more impact hitters that are on the market and waiting to see what the market values them at.

Exactly.  I will sharpen my pitchfork and join the fury if the FO sits on their hands and makes no major additions.   But even in my impatience I’m still rational that things sometimes take time.  It’s still rather early and none of the real targets have signed anywhere yet.  It’s ok to take a deep breath and let things play out as frustrating as that can be.

The Hahn end-of-lockout smirk will go down in the history books. In that smirk lay Conforto, Story, and a big trade for a TOR pitcher. But lo, nothing came.

Nothing will ever top their cockiness before Machado’s decision during SoxFest

Something to keep in mind are that almost all these deals are popping up out of nowhere.  Freeman is only one we’ve really heard of being a battle.  Castellanos and Schwarber have barely been mentioned.  Hell, is Rosario still alive, I haven’t heard his name once.

If we don’t land one in free agency, Bryan Reynolds has been mentioned as a trade possibility for some teams along with Ketel Marte. There’s plenty of options out there.

Honest to God I think in the wake of having to hand the players a little bit of inflationary raise this one time, which they'd hitherto avoided, they're all shell shocked and worried about the future, kind of bitter about writing checks right now.

Freeman and Correa possibly deciding should open the floodgates

Totally agree. Doesn't help so many Boras guys are still out there. I can't imagine these teams want to have this market drag into ST. Unusual to see such high profile players moved while guys are just starting their workouts and getting into the swing of things.
