I am all for getting a year of control back. Still need to sign an OF if that is the plan tho. Fully agree…100% dependent on signing Conforto. It's going to be Vaughn as the everyday RF as long as it clicks vs RH pitchers (as should be expected). Engel will go to RF in late innings and Leury to LF. Sheets will get the bulk of the starts at DH and sit vs LH pitchers, allowing Grandal to get off his knees and play 1B while Abreu going to DH. It's really not the end of the world as many see it. With that said, I really wish they would have done something a bit more grand at 2B. Edited March 14, 2022 by HOFHurt35

Vaughn starting in RF every day is easier to stomach than the Sheets platoon being bandied about but it won't make not signing a real RF any less disappointing. I want no part of Sheets playing the OF.
Look at Ray Ray Run
When and if the Sox don't make a splash, I'll look back and remember that the White Sox spent 30 million dollars to Kimbrel/Leury/Harrison/Velasquez The Sox could have signed: Goodrum - 2.1 million Conforto - 22 million Wittgren - 1.2 million Chris Martin - 3 million? 3

Look at Ray Ray Run
Who knew Keuchel and Grandal would encompass the entirity of "supplementing this core financially" from Hahn in Free-Agency three years ago. If you would have told me when the rebuild started that the Sox weren't going to break the 100 million dollar threshold on any player in FA to support the rebuild I would have thought you were crazy. Now I know I was probably the crazy one.
