KBX
I wouldn't want to part with either Sheets or Vaughn if it's Manaea they're going after.

chw42
The Mets got a great deal for Bassitt. Now the A's got all these teams lining up over 2 SPs cause there aren't any left.

Sounds like either way the preferred RF choice wouldn't be coming. I guess it depends on which of the three is traded and what's the return. Vote4Pedro
Well if it’s gotten to a 4-5 team bidding war I wouldn’t hold my breath that the Whitesox win it
fathom
Sox better hope A’s don’t mind MLB-ready players instead of prospects. Rumor is they’re looking for prospects, which makes it seem like a long shot they can outbid these other teams.
Capn12
Always confused when trade targets come on the Sox radar, and folks don't want to get rid of anyone at all, but still expect to complete the trade. Why in the world, would you NOT want to move Sheets, for Manaea? He is exactly the guy we need, in the rotation.
KBX
Two cheap young power hitters, especially if one is a lefty, sets this team up well going forward. Manaea placates the offseason mood, but doesn't make this team any better vis-a-vis October.

Why sign a player that is possibly worse in 2022, pay for the privilege and ship out a cost controlled asset as well?

The guys from Toronto were big league ready though.
GREEDY
I think if the Sox trade for an A's pitcher that Reynaldo will be in the deal.
ChiSox59
Hey look, Reds adding salary when I was told yesterday there was no way the Reds would be taking back contracts (even tho they'd be dumping lots of it with that I proposed!) Good stuff Puzzling move tho

He's probably the 4th guy in the rotation. Not worth selling what little we have in the farm for that.

Reynaldo is already in arb 2. I don't know if they'd be interested in him. Maybe to give some starts to and flip at the deadline, but that doesn't have a ton of value.
