He's talking about guys like Cliff Politte and Cotts being unhittable.

Got it. I thought he meant they don't need to sign relievers because you can get away with fewer like 2005.

He's also due for BABIP regression imo. He has to be. Career low .227 last year with a 85 exit velocity. and now he can't doctor the ball anymore like he clearly was. this is dumb AF.

The 85 exit velo is a good sign that he won't see a ton of BABIP regression.

You're not asking him to slot in as better than your fourth reliever and your third right handed reliever, so its not like we're signing him to be our top pen arm

I just don't understand making this a priority. It's not necessarily that they were focused on relief at the expense of other options but this is a pattern now.

It's part of Tony La Russa being the manager

We'll see how he does outside Spidertack land in SoCal.

He was better after the spidertack ban. I'd like to see how much we paid, but I don't think this is necessarily a worse signing than Tepera.

How many years in a row are Sox fans going to fall for this nonsense. Each of the last two years we had threads created about how unstoppable the White Sox bullpen was going to be. The best bullpen in baseball will not end up being who you thought it'll be. Signing RP's coming off career years is almost never a good strategy.

Nonsense - HUH?  2021 Sox Pitching Staff gave up 3rd fewest hits, 4th fewest HR, 3rd most K’s, 5th lowest ERA but alright whatever you think, pal.

Guys, we are going to need a lot of pitching.   Not only do we have starters still ramping up and potentially getting hurt, I really feel like coming off of no team works after a full 21, and 1/3 of 20 could knock out conditioning on some starters as well.

You can never have enough pitching. Not much ready for depth in the minors.
