Okay, but the Yankees won three straight not relatively that long ago in 1998, 1999, 2000 and then made it in 2001 but lost the championship. Then won it all again a few years later. That is success, and honestly should be what the Sox are aiming for. No matter how farfetched it may seem. When Hahn says "multiple championships", that late 90s early 2000s Yankees team should be the goal. But, the game has changed. You can't just win under that model anymore. So how do you rattle off multiple championships in today's game? I'm not entirely sure of that, but you can't just buy championships like the Yankees used to anymore. In my personal opinion, the fist step needs to be: keep your team healthy. The health of the team should be priority #1. And the Sox were one of the best teams at doing that until Hermy left. What would be interesting to see is the current movement in season tickets sold from last season into this season for the AL Central...the White Sox and Indians might be the only ones losing from their 2021 ticket bases at this point.
