See you for the playoff push in 2023 Garrett.

He'll be ready near the beginning of the year.

Although they've been really conservative lately so maybe in the middle of the season.

Random question for ya ptatc. If a player was using HGH for a period of time during recovery from something like TJS, would it reduce the recovery time noticeably?

Yes it will. Many have used this excuse in the nfl back in the day.

Although it would probably need to be about 8 -12 weeks during the healing process.

Man, I wished they allowed it when recovering from injuries such as TJS.

The side effects wouldn't be worth it. It's why its banned.

shouldn't confuse HGH replacement therapy and peptides for stimulating HGH production (GHRH). while both are banned they're two different ballgames... GHRH has near 0 side effects.

but he's definitely going to be on BPC-157 during recovery. while thymosin beta 4 is banned in the mlb, bpc-157 is only WADA banned.

I would high doubt they will give him bpc-157. The PRP and STEM cells during the reconstruction are more direct and effective. They aren't going to risk unproven substances for a routine procedure when there are proven substances available.

Yes.

The point being, Crochet will be working with and going through Sox authorized evaluation and methodologies WRT rehab. Not as if he's dangling out on an island regarding his comeback. The way some posters have pictured this, it's as if the guy is somehow relegated to a loose cannon status that will only be worked into the system when he checks into Chicago and gets looked at by the immediate big-league medical staff. Which would obviously be a preposterous way of doing business.

They will have some people there although depending on where he is they may have a local PT working with him during the week.

Agreed. He doesn't have the innings base to ever start now. They should try to lock him up long-term for reliever money at this point.

It's going to be tough now. He is probably looking at a minimum of 3 years to get to dtarter innings.

Trading young position player prospects for young pitching prospects would could go wrong

It could. But as we see now, you can never have enough pitching.

The problem is they are counting on Vaughn during a world series run so he may not be the one to trade unless they have confidence in Sheets or Burger to contribute now.

You have to trade talent to get talent. Just depends on how it all fits together and the situation of the team.

I would trade Vaughn straight up for a pitcher with at least 2 years of control and projecting at least 3.0 WAR this year.

I would trade Vaughn for a pitcher with 1 year of control and projecting at least 3.0 WAR <OR> at least 2 years of control projecting at least 2.0 WAR this year if we also got mid level pitching prospect in addition.
