KipWellsFan
Well who we were hoping to be our next longterm shortstop (Andy Gonzalez) had a pretty mediocre, if not bad year at Kannapolis. Any ideas why the low batting average, and if he'll be playing in Kannapolis again next year? I think he might just have been dragged down by the rest of the team's bad hitting. I want him to stay at Kanny because lots of good young hitters will be moving up there next year and I think he might have much more success. JoshPR
Andy might be turned into a pitcher. He was scouted by other teams as a pitcher
winninguglyin83
rather see him move up to Winston Salem and find out if he can play SS. we need one. maybe he just had a bad year.
Chisoxfn
Saw him play one game (2nd game I was supposed see was rained out). He had very smooth hands and a decent swing. He seemed rather impatient during eveyr at bat but one. When he was patient he drove the ball for a double and looked pretty good. Don't write him off. He is incredibly young and hit in rookie ball. This was his first full season and the potential is still there. Valido did very similar things in rookie ball when compared with Andy. Valido is definately talented but Andy is also extremely talented.
Guest JimH
I agree about not writing him off. He drew a lot more walks this year, although his average wasn't impressive. But he was 21 this year, soon to be 22 ... not what I'd call incredibly young for low A ball. He needs to take a huge step next year or he'll likely be out of the picture. SnB
You know what's funny? In my white sox OOTP dynasty (baseball sim video game), he became the sox starting SS in 2005, won rookie of the year.

Setting the lineups, rotations, managing finances, drafting/promoting minor leagers, I'm obsessed with the game.

Another similar game that I've been playing for a while is Baseball Mogul. Heres the link for the 2004 version, but I suggest you wait for the new 2005 version. Baseball Mogul 2004 That's the game that got me into the genre, but when Mogul left me wanting more, I found OOTP. Much more detailed and it needs much more attention. If your looking for a quick pick-up game, mogul is for you. If your willing to spend hours and hours immersed in simulation baseball, pick up OOTP.
