SouthSideGeorgia
Burger would easily start over Kevin Smith in Oakland, be cost controllable for that organization for awhile and never look back. Probably some other teams that could use him pretty badly. I mean… Burger is almost like Matt Chapman again for them. Let's see his game play out a bit more before making further judgments about him. For example, I could definitely see getting rid of Leury or Harrison and keeping Burger on the roster if he keeps this up. Jake's D has been surprising to me. I thought he was not going to be as mobile as he has been after his Achilles injuries. HRs win games and Jake's blast against a pretty good pitcher probably won that game for the Sox. Leury has a 3 year deal and Tony has a hard on for him. He’s not going anywhere.
Saufley
I almost gagged this morning when I saw the lineup for today with Garcia at 2B, Harrison at 3B and Burger on the bench! What the Hell!

Its a shame because I've had some really good ideas for him to consider.

Either way, good problem to have and both look like better options at 2b than Madrigal this year. Harrison and Garcia are both great as role players just not starters. If Burger and Moncada are in the lineup it sure looks tiring for the pitchers we face.

Barring other injuries, when Moncada and Pollock come back, either Burger or Sheets will be sent down, (along with Mendick)

If he is sent back to the minors to learn 2B so he can come back later in the year , he should be fine w that.

Harrison is playing like garbage so far. If Burger can play second and look average, I think this is the smartest move. But do you disrespect a veteran that you brought on board with benching him so early in the season? Doesn't seem like a Tony move. If Burger continues to rake while Moncada is out and Harrison stays cold, I hope TLR goes for it. Moncada defensively is too valuable at 3rd to move him to 2nd. Abreu saved about 2 dozen throwing errors by Moncada last year.
