Garland to get a Contract

Screw JG he has NEVER won a big game .500 pitcher at best, he is WAY down the list of people who should get deals.

Um....yeah...he is still 23....no one proclaimed him the next coming of the messiah...He is what he is, and thats a solid #3. Why not sign him now while his value is still low, and when he blossoms, he is locked up.

If he is our #3 next season, we are in trouble...

He will never be a 3 a 4 at best, he is an inning eater with a high era , trade JG now.

I think he will blossum into a number three. He is young, and keep in mind that some players take time. He gave us double digit wins, and did have some very strong games. Don't give up on him yet.

Soxfest, Garland's numbers were good enough to be our number four starter.

He's 23 years old and he's getting better every year, if we don't re-sign Colon than it is a must that we get a free agent or trade for a number three.

If he is someone Sox are giving a multi-year deal then the SOX are in HUGE trouble down the line, JG will never be better than a #3 at best, he is not worth the investment.

No, actually now is the BEST time to sign him, because if he has some success while we are signing him year to year, arbitration will come a calling...I'd rather lock the guys up that are gonna be here a while, Buehrle, Garland, Crede, CLee...just because they are discussing Garlands contract now doesnt mean that they arent gonna do the same with the other deserving folks.

I have to disagree with you, who do you think the Sox should make offers to besides Buehrle? They've already made a pretty good offer, if only they would increase the years on the deal.

Jon Garland is going to only get better.

Yeah, I just hope I'm right about him.

We'll just have to wait and see.
