Gee, it's simply IMPOSSIBLE to imagine if I had put up a player like Abrams (which I was smart enough not to do) as a thread like Harold braved to do with Kelenic that every day it would be getting riddled with comments. Heck, it could have been Hosmer, but then everyone would have had to be quiet for the first month, not that he's a 400 average, .972 OPS guy long-term, obviously. Whenever you attach your name to a player so closely, you have to live with the ups and downs. For example, if Tatis got hurt (again) the other day playing soccer in the outfield by landing on his injured wrist. Parkman has Giolito. I used to have Puig...then moved on. Are you going to stake your name on Suzuki/Madrigal? P.S. The mods, by and large, have busy lives these days and have MUCH BETTER things to do with their time than mediate your board policings. And as soon as Kelenic can move his average from .182 to at least .240, then Harold won't have to hear it as much. caulfield12
Back to Burger and Moncada. You don't think about moving Moncada anywhere in the middle of the season, period. You stick Burger in Charlotte once Yoan comes back and play him all over the infield (well, not SS, clearly) and let him hit everyday, putting up some monster numbers to increase his trade value. Maybe even LF or RF, but it's probably better to keep him from having to do long sprints for balls if it can be avoided.

And when Moncada, Leury and Harrison are all batting below .200 and hurting the offense which all 3 inevitably will.....

If Moncada is actually hurting the offense, the likelihood of a World Series with this team just fell by 25%. 1
JoeC
Harrison will not continue to hit below the Mendoza line. His BABIP is .136 (archeologically low). His xwOBA is .324 vs. his actual wOBA of .175. His barrel rate is triple his career average (9.1% vs. 2.8%). He's hitting the ball hard... but just right at 'em. He'll be fine. While he's not the least of this offense's worries, I think he's entirely adequate for what this team needs at 2B.
ChiSox59
Even if 2021 Moncada is who he is moving forward, that is an ~20% above average MLB offensive producer (per OPS+ & wRC+) who plays well above average defense at his position. That, ladies is gentlemen, is called a 4-5 WAR player. Some of you guys are nuts.

The only balls that have landed for him have been these barrels. 2 of his 3 hits are a double and triple. Once his regular contact gets through the infield then his BA is going to get up to at least .

Jerry McNertney
Actually, like most White Sox fans, I'm in favor of Madrigal at second base. Unfortunately, that gift to the Cubs will live on in White Sox history.
Balta1701
I would like to be the first to suggest the White Sox need an entirely new infield.
