I think it's quite possible that the offense(and individual players) aren't as good as we thought. Robert looks more like Mike Cameron than Mike Trout.

The projection systems definitely saw Robert as more like Mike Cameron coming into this season.

Truth is that Cameron at his peak was a 4-5 WAR player who was massively underrated because of the era he played in. I still think Robert has a much higher ceiling, but a floor of Mike Cameron isn't the end of the world.

The issue is that all of the high floor/high ceiling hitters that the Sox acquired seem to be coming nowhere close to their ceilings and are basically being their safe floor or slightly above (looking at Moncada/Robert/Eloy)

There's still time for Vaughn but it's disheartening that all of those guys are only scraping barely above the floor.

Robert was well above his floor last year

I love what Banks did today but not sure how much of a "Momentum Changer" it is when he came in to a 10-0 game and it is now 10-1.

It helps in that he saves the bullpen by going 4 innings. May not be a game changer for this one but could be fir the next couple.

Robert is in a slump. He's been in one since the last game against Seattle.

Looks really bad up there right now.  We've seen this before, but was man....was hopeful that corner was turned for good.

We’re like, 10 games into the season. Isn’t that a small sample size to be freaking out and worrying over?

Its Parkman.  We could be 9-0 and he'd be hanging off the ledge.

Yep. But 0-19 is bad no matter how you slice it.

Robert already has a 120 game sample prior to this season. He was a 5 WAR player who looked amazing for 3 months and was terrible for a month. I think he'll be a streaky hitter in general. Hopefully his struggles recently are just mechanical or the league adjusting to him. He'll always have a chance to adjust back.

They have a 14 man pitching staff.  14.

I guess I see momentum as more of an in game thing, but I certainly see your point especially on game 1 of a DH.
