Trade either Maggs or Carlos...Restock the farm system from this past year or get some big league pitching....Really Interesting guys...Would'nt mind seeing him at all in a Sox uni...

I'd love to have a crappy outfielder....

No thanks.

In no way do I want to rebuild. But if we can get Cruz for about 4 mil, trade Maggs and his 14 million somewhere...We would have 10 mil to spend somewhere..Cruz OPS was a solid 779..Plus he played at a pitcher's park in Pac Bell..He's solid defensively at right...That's 10 mil that can go to a LOT of positions. Don't get me wrong, Maggs is a great player, just not for 14 million.

I'll pass. Our outfield is not our weakness.

We need to find a new shortstop, and a 5th starter and maybe some help in the pen.

Talk aabout your average overpaid ballplayer.  This clown is the classic underachiever.  If he plays in Chicago, I hope it's with the Cubs.  You guys who think that we should get Jose Cruz don't know s***.

To bring up a guy's name and people disagreeing with me is fine..But someone saying I don't know s*** just because I bring up a guy's name is pretty lame...

Well who do you say we bring in? Shall I call you 'Guy Who Knows All?'

It's solid considering he played 82 games at Pac Bell; a pitcher's park. ;)

Except for the fact that he hit better at home then on the road. Home OPS(.808) vs Road OPS(.751). So much for that arguement. The fact that he has been a high-.700's OPS guy almost everywhere he has played suggests that he is nothing more then that. The area that the Sox offense needs to improve in the most is batting average, and Cruz's career batting average of .251 would actually increase the biggest problem. No thanks to Cruz. ,
