Passed that a-hole Grant Balfour to become the all-time Australian-born MLB saves leader this week...pretty sure 87 now.

Good.  Balfour was a prick.

you knew it was going to be bad when they referenced the play-by-play announcer breaking into tears after signing the back of the green monster.

foh

Uggghhhh.  It sounds like they made Chris Berman sound like a Palehose fan in comparison.  Kinda glad I missed that.

Yeah there was no reason for Abreu to be covering the bag with 2 outs in the 9th with a 2 run lead and only a runner on 1st

It was not Jose’s finest game.  Had 2 errors and that mental fart in the 9 th.

Nice win. Team is officially back on track despite the injuries. Now just avoid unsightly 6-8 game losing streaks the rest of the season and we should be OK. There's no reason cept for the bumps and bruises brigade that the team dropped all those games in a row.

It was good that VV is throwing well.  Our main Achilles heel on the pitching side is now Dallas Keuchel.  Is he pitching at Fenway this weekend?  It could be very ugly with DK throwing those lollipops out there.  The Green Monster may be getting a workout.

Actually thought that was a fantastic observation

Just contextually, it fits the mold with how biased they were. Sox are down to their last strike and instead of anticipatingly awaiting the climax of one of the best closers in baseball getting the last strike of the game, he's talking about where the first baseman is positioned. Thats good to bring up for maybe the 6th or 7th inning. Not the 9th.

Yes, it was just the equivalent of a Red Sox home broadcast:  how can “the Sox” (as that inane play by play person kept calling the Red Sox) come back and win this?  That was their sole focus.  Just the icing on the cake of the worst broadcast I think I’ve ever watched.  Oh well, “Sox” win, which is what matters.
