Is it just a brilliant strategy by the amazing strength and conditioning team the Sox have? If the White Sox don’t give up the extra 5 in the 8th, at the very least they probably use Chapman and another of their better relievers. He should have been able to get out of that inning when the bases were loaded. Once he (really, Abreu) failed and it was 9-7 he should have been pulled immediately.
