aboz56
He'll surface elsewhere or be in the NBDL and get some 10 day contracts this season when players get hurt. Although I don't follow the Bulls very closely, I'm surprised by this because from the times I saw him, I thought he was pretty effective. Guess this speaks to the depth of the Bulls roster this season.

It can never hurt to have a defensive stopper on the end of the bench though. Hell, Bruce Bowen has made a career out of just playing defense... Never watched him much on offense though, thanks for the info 2K..
Brian
Defensively he is tough, his problem is that he provides zero offense. He can't shoot, can't drive, and doesn't pass well. Agreed. It's like playing with 4 guys vs. 5 when he was out there last year. Even his defense suffered a lot. Doubt we will miss Hassel. Pippen and Gill could come off the bench and play better defense. Chisoxfn
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Hassel will make it somewhere because of his great attitude and work ethic, but I've heard some great things about Johnson. The Bulls had a huge supply of 2/3 players and lacked in the low post. Its obvious that Mason Jr is the better of the two. The only thing I'd wonder is if they thought of just cutting EROB. I think we know Erob has the potential and he's also proved to be a solid defender when he's out there.

The weird thing is that he could shoot and drive his rookie year. He made some great moves and could use both hands in the key. And he was the Bulls only real outside threat during his rookie year. I don't know what happened to him, but that rookie year he was my favorite Bull but last year I just saw myself swearing at the screen with a puzzled look when he missed shot after shot by 3 feet. That better be a bunch of crap, cause Harrington ain't near that good. Maybe I'd give them Fizer or a role player, but I'd have enough trouble giving them Mason. Erob for a big man with a contract is what i'd like to do. Heck, maybe sucker the Knicks into an EROB for Travis Knight deal. Knights contract is up at the end of the season. I saw that on ESPN Insider. I think Layden was just seeing if Paxson was stupid. I read somewhere else that Paxson said no way. I wouldnt trade a single Bull for Othella. There is ZERO way that Jamal Crawford gets dealt now. Take that to the bank. An Erob for Travis Knight deal is a much better salary fit as I understand it

All of last year I was hoping he would become the starter (I know I blabbed about it all the time on my short lived radio show) Craw is the man, if he does what I think he does, he will be one of the best point guards in the league next year as well as one of the best, most explosive players in the league. JC, you

JC, you He has so much potential as a point. With Pax being around, he already seems to be passing better in preseason ball. And his scoring ability has never been in doubt. Plus I love Mason pushing him off of the bench.

You can have 15, 12 active and 3 on IR. The fight is between Mason and someone else for the last active spot I think. Mason better make it cause he's a very good player, imo. southsider2k5
A lot of the roster stuff could be determined by if Chandler, Rose, or any of the for real injured guys need a spot on the IR.
southsider2k5
Trent Hassell has been signed by the TWolves to fill in for Wally Szeb. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Free agent Trenton Hassell signed Wednesday with the Minnesota Timberwolves and will fill in for the injured Wally Szczerbiak. Hassell, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound guard, averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds a game last season for the Chicago Bulls, who waived him last week. Szczerbiak, who appeared in one preseason game, has a sore foot. He will be on the injured list for at least five games.
