southsider2k5
Trent Hassell has been signed by the TWolves to fill in for Wally Szeb. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Free agent Trenton Hassell signed Wednesday with the Minnesota Timberwolves and will fill in for the injured Wally Szczerbiak. Hassell, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound guard, averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds a game last season for the Chicago Bulls, who waived him last week. Szczerbiak, who appeared in one preseason game, has a sore foot. He will be on the injured list for at least five games. Many in the Wolves organization are getting frustrated with Wally's injury saying that he could be playing with this injury and that it's an injury that won't get better with rest. Hassell may be around here longer than the 10 day contract. Its not a 10 day contract. They can't give those out until later in the season. He got a one year deal. My bad. Either way though, I think he'll stick. I agree with you actually. Every team needs a guy like Hassel who isn't afraid of getting dirty and playing some D.
