Rebuild teams lose this game with little fight put up. Championship teams fight back and either come back and win the game, or make it awfully close. Call up some kids from the minors that are good (rebuild complete!) Call it a competitive window (lose in the first round of the playoffs two years in a row) Fans will keep coming to the games, buying merch and watching on tv/www.
