Jose did? How about a throw that isn't absolute ass?

Throw is terrible, but Jose has had a lot of trouble picking balls out of the dirt this year. It was something he was really good at in previous years.

Vaughn with a first pitch out...this is so bad.

Vaughn's been one of the few good hitters this season so I don't want to be critical, but this lineup desperately needs him to be the patient/tons of walks guy he was sold as when he was a prospect

Idk how this team gets better without either a bounceback or geting value from 2022 underperformers not named Harrison/Garcia.

Yeah, Grandal struggled with hitting to start last year too, but he at least walked enough to give him some sort of value. He's not doing any of that this year. If Grandal, Pollock, and Moncada don't contribute like they can, this team isn't going anywhere.

He was also absolutely destroying the ball early in the season and just hitting into really poor BABIP luck. Somehow, his statcast data this year isn't that bad, but it's nowhere close to what he was doing even early last year.

He hit the ball hard into the shift a lot cause his knee didn't let him lift the ball or go oppo very much. It's some of the same problems he's having right now.

Im guessing that ol Jerry gonna use Keuchel and Grandal as excuses to never sign big ticket free agents ever again.

I was talking about 2023, but ok.

BTW what is everyone's opinion on Cease? Just one bad start or can we lump him in the underperformance category?

Leaning toward one bad start against a hot team myself.
