Moncada is a huge disappointment this year. The games he does play in he looks totally disinterested and just going through the motions. He is looking like one of those guys who once they get that big contract they really don't care any more. He doesn't impress me as a guy who really loves to compete and loves the game.

Bottom line is he needs to start being out there most every game and producing if this team is going to make a run at anything.

This year? How about Moncada has been a huge disappointment in 5 of his 6 years here. Agreed it's a huge disappointment this year since he has only played in 15 of 47 games with a slash of .133/.175/.250/425. He had one great season in 2019. You're right though, It doesn't help matters that he always looks disinterested and not giving 100 percent. That coupled with the fact he was the #1 overall prospect in MLB and the main piece of the Chris Sale trade...yep definitely a huge disappointment.

TLR said Moncada could have played today but "didn't want to run the risk of playing today and him being stiff tomorrow"

Also said he's happy to have Robert back, legs are good, question is stamina and "we'll see how he is tomorrow".

Grandal - Fail

Moncada - Fail

Eloy - Fail

Pollock - Fail

DH - Fail

2B - Fail

Abreu - Barely passing.

Bullpen - Barely passing (when considering Bummer's suckage, Kelly's MIA, Hendrik's rough start)

We should start asking ourselves, how the hell are we still within .500?

You would think sitting on a bench would make you more stiff than playing a sport..

The answer is starting pitching (outside of Keuchel and Velasquez).

What does that even mean?

Pollock homer only possible due to rest day.

Breaks woeful 1-17 slide.

Now he just needs to go 1-17 again so he can get another rest day and then so he can hit another leadoff homerun. It's only logical.

What would that OPS end up as lol?

30-35 homers over 600 abs hitting a dinger every 18 ab's but a woeful average.
