Burger needs to be a lot more selective in those situations.  Gets way too impatient and gets himself out.

Looks like one more inning from Lynn at 85 pitches now.

Burger has Eloy syndrome. Swings at too much bullshit, tons of power though.

I could live with McGuire catching the rest of the year if we could something really good for Yasmani and get out of that contract. He ain’t getting any younger and we have 10 DH’s on this team already. Same goes for Moncada.

Nobody is trading for Grandal. The Yankees were probably the most catcher starved team to start the year and they've gotten better production out of Trevino and Higashioka so far.

If and it’s always a BIG IF, LYNN was healthy since the beginning of the year we’d be 5 or 6 over 500 because we wouldn’t had to of played Russian Roulette with the 5th starters. But I’ll take him now for the rest of the year LOL

But then no Cueto to provide insurance for Lynn and Keuchel and VV.

And that wouldn’t be a 4 game swing.  Maybe 2?

With our RS/RA we should be closer to 10 games under .500 in reality.

They willingly gave up Sanchez to focus on defense…ironically, Sanchez has been pretty decent defensively for the Twins.

He can't field though. Like at all. He's bad.

He can improve. Look at Abreu as an example. He was replaced defensively a few years back, now he’s a gold glove caliber 1st baseman. Tongue in cheek as they say. He’s now an above average glove. We just need to get burger to average which is possible  remember, he had a lot of injuries and missed a lot of time his first couple of years in the minors. Give him time

Injures happen all the time. Never say never.

Really just Vaughn and Burger, and you're seeing why on Vaughn.

Yeah, to be fair its hard to remember but there was a time it was believed Eloy could be at least a serviceable LF

It's more just that it's ended up being a confluence at the upper levels due to injuries and bad payroll allocation
