How can a team win with only one valuable player? TLR should probably go because you can't fire the team. The answer is yes. Tony is awful The players are injured and underperforming. This season is lost. Do some retooling in the offseason and hope for bounceback years from important players in 2023. That's about all they can do at this point. Also, for fuck's sake, have a sit-down with Eloy and tell him he's going to DH going forward.

There is plenty of baseball left and team is certainly still in the hunt 6

They have a poor approach because their hitting coaches accept one of the lowest launch angles in baseball so they waste the balls that they do hit hard. They are less prepared than their opponents because other teams have professional data and statistics people while the White Sox hired LaRussa’s crony. And their training and conditioning plans, done with their coaches and starting in the spring, aren’t good at all. The vast majority of the players were chosen before TLR was hired. He was here last year to so I assume you're going to blame this dramatic organizational shift in philosophy solely on him because he changed all of this in the off season without input from anyone. zisk
Praying for a sweep. This has to stop. I was thinking of writing a book. The working title is: The Tony Larussa story; The death of shame.

We have way too much negativity and people taking this stuff personaliy. The blame game seems to be the favorite past time and goes pitch to pitch, and at bat to at bat etc etc patience and to keep your eye on the prize is the best thing Edited June 26, 2022 by elrockinMT

Hopefully, as each player returns they can turn it up a notch. I was there today and they just couldn't get anything going. A couple of more quality hitters would be nice. That inning for Lynn with the swing bunt, hit batter was just weird.

TLR was hired with the excuse that he would lead the Sox to post season success due to his 'experience and ability'. Last season they were awful post season and were out after 1 series, so TLR FAILED. This season they are tanking the regular season and will most likely fail to qualify for post season, so again TLR FAILED. All this with the biggest budget the Sox have had for years.
PitchatRisktoZisk
So the Sox are behind Cleveland and Minny in both the standings, organizational effectiveness, and farm systems. They are (soon to be) only marginally ahead of Detroit and KC in the standings and who have FAR superior farm systems and are already in rebuild mode. In other words..... we're screwed.

Frankly, I hope the management and their sycophant media blame this season on injuries, and as a result give Tony another 3 year contract to keep Jerry and Tony happy. Perhaps he’ll pass Connie Mack by 2032. Hope fans stay away from this dumpster fire until both and their respective stenches are long gone. 6 hours ago, reiks12 said: Stop spending your money on the team, only thing fans can do. Anyway, Eloy is not the reason that this team sucks this year. If Eloy rejects DH they need to trade him or something. He really has no place to be deciding where he does or doesn't play. Besides didn't this injury happen on the basepaths? Just sucks. I feel bad for him because of how much this hurts him being injured all the time, but at some point he has to accept the fact that his only saving grace right now is his potential with the bat, and he needs to do everything humanly possible to focus on his hitting and get his bat skills honed in, but there isn't much time left for him to turn this around. At least, not with the Chicago White Sox. Edited June 26, 2022 by ScooterMcGuire
