What a bunch of fucking idiots

Ehhh kinda the nice that made the most sense. Haseley seems mostly worthless on this roster but you need a reserve OF, especially with us playing 1B in RF.

Its the move to make. Not many other options here...

Leury? - HAH, good one. He is going nowhere for another 2 years
Burger? - He'll be an ok bat off the bench, and back at 3rd when Yoan inevitably winces after trotting from the field to the dugout, or something
Sheets? - No chance in hell they can send Sheets back down, considering the current makeup of the bench
Haesley? - Yeah, he sucks. But we have no real backup outfielders right now.

Weird to burn an option year on Sosa just to send him down to AAA.  Not that he looked super ready.  Maybe he comes back after Harrison craters again and is DFA'd?

Yeah this option usage is nonsense.

Makes sense. Option an infielder to make room for one.  Would have preferred they dfa Leury, but we all know that will never happen.

If they were only going to use him for a weekend, there are guys in AAA who are older and more ready to burn an option on.

We are idiots because we called him up in the first place and had to add him to the 40/started the clock.

Dee Strange-Gordon was released by the Nationals a couple days before Sosa was called up. He’s a free agent utility player and in 59 at bats this year did hit .300.

For who the options were, on the big league team, it made sense.

Now, if you want to argue that it seemingly was a stupid, not thought out choice to add him to the 40 and bring him up, I think you have a pretty good case. But he is the right one to be sent back down.

hell Zach Remillard for a weekend is just as acceptable if you don't want to pull up Yolbert. He is versatile, old, and walks a lot. Absolutely zero reason to leapfrog Yolbert for only one weekend.

This is the guy they talked about on the Score, made sense in terms of having an available infielder.
