ChiSox_Sonix
Anyone see that on Sportscenter? It was funny, Beckett wouldnt really give a straight answer as to if he was starting. Then he said if he did know he wouldnt tell them, but he may know, but again, he wouldnt tell them if he did. Does he have ambitions to be a politician in his post-baseball career, heh? YASNY
He must have been schooled on how to deal with press by Donald Rumsfeld.

DBAHO
1st Burnett, and now Beckett comin thru. Jon Garland take note.
The Critic
Josh Beckett is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Of course, they may have a little something to do with what he did last week. But he's a gamer and he says the right things, in my opinion. If Burnett can come back effectively next year, Florida is going to have a TOP-NOTCH starting rotation ( Willis can be a fine 4th or 5th starter, but I don't think he'll be as successful as he was when he came up ). Rex Hudler
1st Burnett, and now Beckett comin thru. Jon Garland take note. Garland is nowhere near the talent Josh Beckett is and never has been. The expectations for Josh Beckett have been extremely high from Day 1. Garland needs to break out and show success at a young age, but he will never be near the talent level of Beckett. I agree with Rex. Beckett has been highly touted for a long while. He was a big gamer since high school.

witesoxfan
Beckett's a stud, and the kid knows how to pitch. You mix a guy that knows how to pitch with a guy that has great stuff, and you get the Mark Prior's, Josh Beckett's, Roger Clemens's, Pedro Martinez's of the world.
