They’re going to have to limit his innings a bit the rest of the year.  Probably should have given him a few weeks after the knee injury.

Idk if they can afford to not pitch him in the upcoming stretch against Cleveland and Minnesota.

Kopech is a completely different pitcher since the injury.

Kopech has given up 9 runs in 12 innings with only 8 Ks and 6 BBs since his knee injury.

Another wonderful decision by the training staff.  You could tell by his comments that he didn’t feel great after the injury and his appearance after it.

How long do we keep babying Kopech? Guy's been a major leaguer since like 2018 or 2019 or some shit and he's still struggling consistently with mechanics and his velocity? Make him a fucking reliever then. Stupid ass franchise

Expand

probably for a while due to him missing a year and this being his first year as a major league starter

Yep. He’s definitely been a major leaguer since 2018 or 2019. Has hardly missed any time since he came up.

He has pitched 7 less innings this year than all of last and he's already down to 93-94? That's really good!

Kopech was the Sox best starting pitcher up until his injury and it wasn't close. He dominated the Dodgers and Yankees.

Kopech sucks is even more ludicrous than all of the Moncada sucks stuff from last year.
