Will Colas get this done or will Hahn have to thrown in some sweeteners for the Marlins to bite?

I was hoping Pollock would get it done, but no chance Miami wants him.

A reasonable prospect (less than Colas) would get it done, assuming Kim Ng is interested. Miami is also third in the WC race, so they are not likely sellers, at least this week.

Billy had a 0.4 bWAR on the Sox last year, Pollock is at 0.1 this season. Billy would definitely help with days off for Luis Robert in CF, late innings in LF, and pinch running late like he did with the Sox, and also did this weekend for Miami after his signing a few weeks ago.

This team would be a hell of a lot more enjoyable to watch with Billy on the team, and the team would get a lift in the clubhouse.

With Eloy back, there really no need for Pollock at this stage. If you can eat much of his salary and flip him this month, that is the best case scenario.

The Sox still need a legitimate starting RF and 2B, but that will always be the case as long as Rick Hahn is GM.

Robert-Trout-Soto > Pollock and Engel

why stop there?  Let’s just muse every great player is on the Sox!  Vacuums are great

Sox need a new dust filter for their Hoover Max Extract Pressure Pro Model 60.

Imagine of the Sox didn't make a trade and made the playoffs.

Most like if the Sox got Ohtani and Trout they'd make the playoffs.  Somehow though Tony would mismanage Ohtani.  Trout also has an injury history and Tony will bubble wrap him and Leury will be his sub.

What???

A bag of balls would get it done.
Although why in the hell the Sox would want it done is beyond me.

Is Billy Hamilton sneaking a few LH power bats and a few lockdown pen arms back with him in his luggage?  Cuz otherwise I’m not so sure a 5th OF gets this team over the hump.  As much as I loved Billy here…

We really aren't sure how serious the thread starter is or if he just wanted to pay tribute to Hamilton and post more videos.

I'm pretty sure Wegner's post was in jest about trading Colas for him since Mr. Wegner is one of Soxtalk's jesters  (in a good relaxed way).

  • 2 weeks later...

Add infield defensive specialist to Billy Hamilton's resume.

  • Second base - Check
  • Third base - Check

After further review, Billy Hamilton is still awesome.
