They will still have $15 million under the tax give or take even if they bring Abreu back.

Sell the guys you can sell to make yourself better, fill a couple holes for next year in the process, change the entire coaching staff, and give it your best shot.

They needed to link Keuchel and or Lynn with Kimbrel to the Dodgers, the only team besides the Mets who doesn't give a rats ass about the salary tax. I wanted them to get Lux and perhaps a pitcher (proposed Gonsolin in October, but doubt the Dodgers would bite).

  • Lynn $19.5M Age 36
  • Grandal $18.3M Age 34
  • Hendriks $14.3M Age 34
  • Pollock $12.0M + Age 35
  • Kelly $9.0M Age 35

$73M

You sir, are a moron

Tell me why other teams would be interested in a pitcher whose peripherals are way down, has lost 0.7 mph on his heater and has an ERA over 5, going into his arb 3 year?

An absolute best case scenario in a trade is something like Kimbrel for Pollock.
