bmags
The Vaughn era of the white Sox has begun, officially, after this series.
southsider2k5
I have said forever the kid would hit. It might be all he does, but he will hit.
South Side Fireworks Man
Vaughn is one of the Sox best hitters. I hope in the future he can play mostly 1B and DH some to maximize his value. The Sox need bona fide major league outfielders to play outfield.

greg775
Happy for Vaughn and happy for the Sox. First round draft pick No. 3 overall. He's only 24. Seems like a guy who cares. If he can stay healthy (and why shouldn't he?) might be a homegrown star, at least I hope so. His old, traditional stats are all good. Not sure how he's doing in WAR and all that cause I don't really care. Love me some Vaughn. Nice first half, sir. 2
gogosox1959
Frank -- Paulie -- Jose -- Andrew Get him a long term deal now! Have Jose go year-to-year. Money won't be a problem as Jose is exactly the type of person to whom JR will be very generous. Next year they should split 1st and DH 50/
greg775
If he's the real deal ... who is the last Sox top five draft pick to be a star? Or top three pick?

Rodon, McDowell, and Baines are the best top 5’s since 1977. They’ve only drafted that high 7 times from the ‘77 draft until now and 2 of those are Madrigal and Vaughn.
