Expand as someone who hasnt lived in illinois in the last 17 years, Chicago hotdogs hit different. Expand When I hit age 12 or 13 my old man actually pulled me aside and said something to the effect of "you're too old to put ketchup on Hot Dogs." I too hate sports peppers but will get a Chicago dog with everything but the peppers. When it comes down to it though, it is probably the quality of the dog.
