These numbers are very bothersome and clearly show why Hahn has: - Destroyed the rebuild! Now we are potentially looking at a second rebuild 2.0. - Put together a horribly flawed roster, which equates to a team 11 games under 500, with the 3rd worst record, in the worst division in baseball. - Failed miserably in building a quality farm system because he was inept in hiring the right people to help him in scouting, drafting and developing young productive prospects, which equates to the 26th ranked farm system. - Is dreadfully bad at making trades, free agent signings and squandered away the 11th highest payroll of 186 million, which equates to one of the most embarrassing and dysfunctional franchises in baseball. No other owner in baseball except for Reinsdorf, would look at this horrendously unsuccessful track record over 10 years and not have fired Hahn by now. 1 1 1

The payroll high point was actually #7 in the majors during the last 12-18 months. Now they're around #12 according to Cot's Baseball Contracts. The guy has to go before he sets the franchise back another 15 years. I said this back in 2017 and was attacked as being a Cubs fan. Hahn needed a chance they said. No matter that he’s the one who drove the Titanic into the iceberg. They wanted him to man the rescue ships too. Lip Man 1
2 hours ago, WBWSF said: Former White Sox radio announcer Bob Elson once said the only thing Bill Veeck cared about was money. Jimmy Piersall told me the same thing when I interviewed him. Said Bill was a fraud. Sox historian Rich Lindberg felt the same way about him. ML: I guess this is a good time to ask your thoughts on Bill Veeck. Too many Sox fans he was the Pied Piper for the common fan, he saved the franchise from moving to Seattle in December 1975 but others have suggested that the man the fans saw, was different from the man who tried to run the franchise. Is that a true statement? JP: “I would say so. He was a fraud. He never had any money to run the team with. Harry didn’t like him either. One day he was talking with some people, I happened to be walking past, and I heard him say “(Eric) Soderholm just can’t play third base.” Another person then said, “Yea but who else are you going to be able to get?” That just about sums things up.
