Trade Rumors Catch-all

As I said earlier, it makes it easier for them to sign Bogaerts, Rodon or Turner this offseason.

That's just nonsense though. Losing a pick for a superstar player means nothing in the grand scheme of the deal. They weren't playing 4D chess here; they botched the market and screwed up.

Cubs screwed the pooch big time.

No no no fathom, all you need to do is get to the playoffs, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! It happened to the Braves!!!!!111

I was told only the Dodgers, Yankees, and Astros have a chance. You’d think they’d have all the rings over the past two decades instead of a combined 3 total.

Maybe this was next level genius - TLR was demanding a left handed bat and more relievers, Hahn called his bluff and gave him nothing, with the hope that TLR is going to announce his retirement later today, which quite frankly, would be such a massive step in the right direction, I could leave with no other moves.  But in reality - this really completes the 12 months of dysfunction that truly got real at least years deadline and have just steadily derailed from there.

Imagine if we had just:

1.) Not hired TLR

2.) Signed Rodon

3.) Signed Schwarber

Pretty sure almost everyone here was on board with all of this… doesn’t take a fucking Billy fucking Bean bright guy shit to figure this out.

And now @ron883 - yes, call up Colas up now.

SS - Andreson

CF - Robert

3B - Moncada

DH - Abreu  / Grandal / Eloy

LF - Eloy / Vaughn

1B - Vaughn / Abreu / Grandal

C - Grandal / Zavala

RF - Colas

2B - Harrison

Why stop there? We can keep playing this game

Imagine if the Nats didn't swoop in at the last with $100k for Soto.

In 2016 Imagine if the front office didn't trade for Shields

Imagine if the front office guaranteed the money to Machado.

And one more for you, Imagine if KW didn't draft Mitchell from LSU and took Mike Trout instead.

Imagine that lineup? Moncada would be the 2nd baseman.

Listened to the grandmothers from Des Moines on Contreras and Happ-y.  Ron Coomer isn’t even all that pleased.

Definitely no Robert then but wouldn’t really matter in the overall scheme of things.

What if Machado, Harper or Wheeler signed…?  Etc.

Then I suggest talking to new friends. You’re hanging out with idiots

I wish.  Tony probably doesn't realize what day it is and penciled Scott Fletcher in at 2nd.

IMO so much of our issues are drafting and development.

We can't trade our good prospects for rentals. After our top prospects the minors tank hard. This means we either overpay for a rental or don't and get beat by other teams' offers.

Other than Vaughn who was our last good draft pick that is contributing at the major level? TA? I'm not even going to count Rodon when all we got was one good year. When was the last time we developed a mid round pick into something?

Madrigal

Burdi

Burger

Fulmer

Collins

That was on this site and, yes, I agree! Why even bother with the first couple rounds of the playoffs? Just put NYY, HOU, LAD, and NYM in the LCS!

No one needs to “put” Houston in the LCS every year…they do that themselves.

2026 is the earliest any team in this city has a realistic shot at competing for a title

And they really are fortunate the Tigers' rebuild is such a mess other than Greene/Skubal/Soto.

Javier Baez and Eduardo Rodriguez clearly not the right decision, either.

And Dayton Moore keeps his job almost like a cult leader/self-help guru guy...with it being born again Christianity he's selling.

Yup we’ve been asking all of these questions for sometime now since they happened… and the fact that a fan base does it when ownership doesn’t…

Well all you can say at that point is, “what the fuck?”

After as bad of an off-season as you could have imagined - which was obvious to even the most casual baseball fans - the White Sox do nothing at the trade deadline.

This from the organization that talked so much about supplementing this group the past two off-seasons. Taking advantage of the window. Going for the title.

Since the Trade Deadline of last year, Rick Hahn has been worse at his job than if we installed my dog as GM and told him to step on the face of the floor mat of the guys he wanted to sign or acquire. It's honestly hard to believe how bad Hahn has been. This is what we spent years losing for.

So this idiot can make terrible trades, evaluate MLB talent as if he was blind and deaf, and never spend on premium talent.

As Ive argued countless times, rick hahn (and especially whoever is doing the major league scouting) has been bad for almost their entire tenures. Doesn’t know how to supplement a roster. At least now we know for sure that there will no playoff series won under his watch. We now know the only thing we can root for is for the team to be sold and front office to be completely replaced.
